We were lucky enough to have a very cool July day yesterday, so my son and I decided to give this a try. It was delicious with ice cream! (We made 4 pouch pies, 2 blueberry, 2 raspberry. Yum!) The sugar-in-the-raw was a nice touch. Depending on the size of the apples, you may be able to get 3 pies from one batch of filling.

Hi Marie,
I love that Sugar in the Raw. I've used it for other things like on top of sugar cookies! Glad you enjoyed it and got your son involved too! Was the raspberry out of a can? By the way, the boule is on it's way!

Hi, Shari --- I liked the sugar in the raw so much I replaced the regular sugar in my table sugar bowl with it. The raspberry was indeed out of a can, and happened to be the same brand of filling as the blueberry you used. Looking forward to the boule. I use a light green somewhere in almost every room in my house (at least in Spring/Summer) so I am not sure which room it will go in. I think it will make the rounds -- starting in the kitchen, where I only use the light green/white this time of year, then it will move up to my bedroom, I think, where those colors are their in some form year round. Back to the Blueberry Pouch Pies: We played your video as we were making them, and paused it when we were slower than you. It worked out great having a video to go along with the recipe.
