I like the look of this feeder. I too was using the metal shepherd-crook type post. This one is so much classier, and doesn't look very difficult.
p.s. My cat ran over to the laptop as the video was ending to check out the bird sounds coming from the screen.

Way cool bird feeder! Much sturdier than the metal ones, and just looks so much nicer. Happy Spring, you guys!

Hi Matt, Cool bird feeders. This reminded me of a RxR show you did a few years ago on how to get Butteries to come to your yard. My husband and i went to the Historic Spanish Point in Osprey Fl. I fell in love with the Butterfly Garden and was hoping you could give me some tips on making a butterfly garden for my home in Fl. I also remember you saying something about a butterfly house. That would be so cool.

Hi, Trina --- My daughter and I made a butterfly garden a few years ago. We got some of that back plastic edging and laid out a planting area in the shape of a butterfly. We get a lot of possitive comment from people walking by. For early spring we have it filled with bulb flowers like tulips, daffodils, jonquils, etc. When it's time for the tulips to go, we throw in the wildflower seeds that say they attract butterflies. And, we outline the butterfly with low-growing flowers like allisium. We make the flower colors symmetrical so it looks like butterfly wings. You can also add in the butterfly houses like Matt used in that episode you referenced. Good luck! Marie
